| Technology Leadership of the Year Award |

Frost & Sullivan has selected Ormat Technologies, Inc. as the recipient of the 2006 Advanced Geothermal Energy Technologies Technology Leadership of the Year Award.
Ormat's global efforts in developing Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technologies and finding applications for them in environment-friendly reliable power generation markets, including geothermal energy, have been recognized with this award. Ormat's ORC is also suited to produce power from sources such as recovered energy while complying with appropriate environmental and economic standards.

| Geothermal Centenary Recognition Award |

Ormat was honored with the "Centenary Recognition Award" from the Italian Geothermal Union (UGI) on December 10, 2005 at the closing ceremony of the program celebrating the first centenary of geothermal power.
The award was presented to Ormat in recognition of its "outstanding achievements in developing geothermal power generation worldwide".

Nevada Governor, Kenny Guinn, honored Ormat with the state's annual Distinguished Business of the Year Award for 2005. The award is presented annually to companies exemplifying good corporate citizenship, and recognizes the important role they play in contributing to the economic strength of the business community in Northern Nevada. Governor Guinn commented: "The purpose of this Award is to honor those companies that choose to do business in Northern Nevada. By coming here, Ormat provided economic stability and a bright future for Nevada". |

| Geothermal Industry Excellence Awards |

In September 2005, the Geothermal Resource Council and the Geothermal Energy Association jointly presented Ormat with a geothermal industry excellence award in recognition of Galena 1, its new advanced binary technology power plant in Reno, Nevada. Galena 1 was inaugurated in 2005. This new plant, along with the other Ormat power plants in the Steamboat complex, will generate enough electricity to supply the 270,000 residents of the city of Reno, Nevada with clean, renewable energy. Ormat was honored with the award in conjunction with the Geothermal Energy Association's Annual Trade Show in Reno, Nevada. |
