The ORMAT® ENERGY CONVERTER (OEC) for remote power applications is a hermetically sealed Closed Cycle Vapor Turbogenerator (CCVT) operating according to the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC). The OEC contains only one moving part, which is the shaft on which the turbine wheel, brushless alternator rotor and return feed pump are mounted. The turbo-alternator shaft is supported by working fluid film bearings, which eliminate the need for lubricating oil, delivering years of trouble-free operation. This robust design provides an industry-leading proven MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) with exceptional performance, under any environmental and weather conditions. The OECs, in the power range of 200 to 4500 Watt, have multi-fuel capabilities. They can be controlled and monitored locally and/or remotely with the option of being integrated with a variety of existing or new SCADA/HMI/OSS systems. They are designed for ourdoor installation in remote harsh environments and have a field proven life of over 30 years of 24 hours a day operation without overhauls. How the OEC works?
