Control Network and Communications Engineer - Reno, NV 15 August, 2010

This position designs, commissions, troubleshoots, and maintains Ethernet networks, both local and wide area, and associated communications for Ormat’s industrial control networks throughout North America. The position is responsible for policy, design, specification and maintenance of industrial power plant control networks. The position is also responsible for coordination with business IT professionals in the transfer of data between control networks and business networks. The position will be based in Reno with significant travel in the Western US.

Maintenance Technician - Mammoth Lakes, CA 8 August, 2010

The MechTech1 is responsible for handling routine maintenance and repairs on plant facilities and equipment. The MechTech1 performs tasks in accordance with the Plant Maintenance Program and associated maintenance and repair procedures.

Control Room Operator - Mammoth Lakes, CA 5 August, 2010

The Control Room Operator (CRO) is responsible for monitoring all plant systems and plant equipment on a continuous base. The CRO responds to alarms and out of specification parameters by taking appropriate corrective action. The CRO assures that the plant meets its generation requirements while operating in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with all operating guidelines and permits.

Plant Operator - Mammoth Lakes, CA 5 August, 2010

The Plant Operator (OP1,OP2) is responsible for monitoring all plant systems and plant equipment and assists in the safe and efficient operation of the power plant and supporting equipment and systems. The OP2 assists to control the operations of the plant and must do so in a safe manner resulting in no accidents and in compliance with all environmental permits at all times. The OP2 operates under general direction and minimum supervision. The OP2 encounters recurring work situations with variations from the norm.

This position is responsible for providing technical services in the area of process controls and instrumentation for any of the Ormat operating facilities as required. These services will include but not be limited to process control systems design, programming specification, installation and maintenance. Electrical and control activities for all plant sites will be in accordance with all applicable permits, laws, rules, good work practice, and regulations.
