The Maintenance Technician performs the tasks required to install, repair, modify, overhaul, diagnose, test, and maintain all power plant equipment and systems. As required, provides leadership for various maintenance and outage activities being performed by lesser qualified individuals and outside contractors. Utilizes and maintains the computerized maintenance management program. Provides environmental and safety stewardship and ensures that all safety and regulatory requirements are met.

The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator at Ormat Nevada Inc is to ensure the operation of the Power Plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with Plant Operating Procedures.

Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair low and high voltage electrical equipment, such as motors and motor controls, switchgear, transformers, voltage regulators, electrical protective devices, and PLC I/O, main and auxiliary generators and battery support systems.

This position is responsible for the benefits administration for Ormat’s US employees, including formulating and implementing best operating practices and exercising discretion and judgment in applying such practices. Other responsibilities include assisting the Human Resources department with various projects and administrative tasks and ensuring Ormat’s compliance with applicable federal, state, and SOX regulations.

The position provides market research, direct sales and project initiation and development services for Renewable Energy Generation Systems including REGS applications, solar and geothermal applications of Ormat products and services.
 

The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator at Ormat Nevada Inc. is to ensure the operation of the Power Plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with Plant Operating Procedures.

This position provides administrative support and rotates administrative responsibilities for full cross-training.

Technical Intern - US 24 April, 2012

Ormat interns will be involved in many aspects of power plant operations maintenance and engineering. This is a very flexible position designed to give the intern a basic understanding of various technical aspects of the power generation industry. The intern will receive preliminary orientation and training and then assigned to a variety of support tasks at various departments as required.

This position is responsible for providing technical services in the area of process controls and instrumentation for Ormat’s operating facilities including
specification, installation, configuration and maintenance of process control system elements.
