Ormat's OEC is designed for smooth integration that does not interfere with normal industrial plant operations. The OEC's modular design enables rapid, cost-effective installation on site. Our systems are easy to use, require minimal maintenance, are fully automated and feature automatic start up, synchronization and safe shut-down.

The OEC

• Is simple to operate - turbine, controls and balance of plant.
• Requires no complex vacuum systems, as the organic working fluid condensing pressure is above atmospheric pressure.
• Turbine remains dry under all expected working conditions, eliminating the possibility of erosion damage to the turbine's buckets and nozzles.
• Can use air-cooling when cooling water is scarce and is suitable for outdoor operation in cold climates, due to the low freezing temperature of the organic working fluid.
• Uses a thermal oil heat transfer medium, which is advantageous for multiple heat source applications.
• Poses no burden on operation of host plant's core activities, due to its proven high-reliability.
