This temporary position is responsible for assisting in purchasing, maintaining inventory control, shipping, receiving, and labeling of materials in accordance with applicable permits, laws, rules, and regulations. Please note: this is a rural location, requiring two hours travel by truck (ride share with other employees) or short commuter flight.

The Control System Specialist provides hands-on support for commissioning maintenance and troubleshooting of the control, instrumentation, and electrical systems at ORMAT facilities. Additionally, the Control System Specialist is responsible for maintaining the control system network for ORMAT Electricity Segment Power Plants. The Specialist 1 works under close supervision, performing the essential functions at an adequate level.

This position is responsible for Operations and Maintenance support in the areas of process, plant and equipment design, design review, specification and operation. This position is responsible for guidance of process, plant and equipment risk and hazard assessments. This position is also responsible for process and equipment improvement in regards to safety, operability, efficiency and profitability.

The Temporary Laborer position performs varied work, generally of a physical nature, in and about the power plant and field sites. Please note this position is located at Ormat's Tungsten Mountain site, a 105 miles north of Fallon, 50 miles north of Lovelock, 38 miles south of Winnemucca.

The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator is to ensure that the operation of the power plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with Plant Safety Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures. Additional duties include; monitoring plant systems and equipment on a continuous basis, and responding to alarms and out of specification parameters by taking appropriate corrective action.
